XLD for Sugar Club..

Press Release.

EVsounds sweet at The Sugar Club…

Irish EV distributor Sound Communications Ltd, recently supplied a complete Electro-Voice XLD system to PA contractor Yellow Pearl Audio for an installation in the fantastic Sugar Club in Dublin city.  The Sugar Club, formally a small cinema with a capacity of 450, is a favourite with bands and music fans alike – they choose EV.

Alan Murphy , Concert Sound Sales manager for Sound Communications Ltd explains”Kevin from Yellow Pearl brought the guys from The Sugar club to my office for a meeting to discuss their expectations for the new sound system and very soon into the meeting it occurred to me that that there was excitement in the air about the prospect of upgrading the venues facilities - but no mention of price! It seems they really wanted top class for this space.  I felt the choice of an XLD system to be an excellent one both from a sonic and sight line point of view, but also Electro-Voice X-Line products are very rider friendly, a fact I’m sure the team from the Sugar Club appreciated.  It is a lovely venue to see a show (and hear one), we were glad to be involved”.

Kevin Jennings from Yellow Pearl agrees “ This was my second or third project with X-Line products and we found that with the more established installations we completed with XLD or XLE the easier it was to open doors to the next venture.  I am really proud of the Sugar club installation - we took a nice venue witch had a pretty bad sound system and turned it around with “A list” products from the Bosch communications Systems portfolio.”

Ian O Donahue, FOH engineer for Sugar Club concludes “We looked a many options for this - but Electro-voice really ticked all the boxes when it came to achieving all the criteria we wanted to make this a great venue to listen to live music.  Kevin at Yellow Pearl and Alan help us maximise the equipments performance and after the gear went in we have had great after sales support when required.  Please see a comment from The Irish Times below”

"It`s a venue to die for.  Wood paneled walls, plush banquette seating and a pristine sound system render the rest of Dublin `s night-life cruddy in comparison."
